H18ORR Dordogne Dispatch 1

So after a massive drive we have arrived in the Dordogne. We are staying in a small hamlet village called La Criox which is deep in the French countryside and very remote.

Since arriving we have spent most of our time checking the weather. Unfortunately the rain has taken hold of the area and doesn’t seem to want to let go.

We have managed to get out to do some running and climbing, although these have been very wet attempts (see Sami pictured above wearing very wet H18-ORR bouldering trousers).

We did hunt out some dry, overhanging, hard boulder routes though.

We did get one break in the weather but we spent this drinking tea in the sun; maybe a poor choice?
