What have we been up to recently?
Well quite a lot is the short answer and
this is the reason the blog has seen little attention over the last month. Our
first trip saw us shooting across the channel towards France, eating possibly
the most expensive cooked breakfast we’ve ever eaten waiting to drive almost
the length of the country down to the alps and into Chamonix for two weeks of
new product testing, photo shoots and of course lots of climbing, walking and
running.
We stayed in
Chamonix during the closed season so we experienced a very quiet and peaceful
town lacking the usual bussle that the area recieves during those summer
months. Walking around the valley can be a little bit odd with all the lifts
closed down and restraunts closed or being ‘done up’ for the summer months.
Our most favorite place we visited during
our stay was the Argentiere Moraine boulders located unsurprisingly only a few
minutes walk from Argentiere.
This area drew us back with its great views
down the valley and very secluded location (below is the cairn marking the way,
not as big as we expected!).
Below is a picture of Stephanie Roberts
climbing one of the boulders (font 5c), one of the few climbing pictures we
took whilst in the valley.
This trip gave us a chance to test out some
of the upcoming products, which are due out in September/August 2013. Even the
few days of rain and snow were a great chance to test out the waterproofness of
our new waterproof range. The highlight was the approach shoe.
This is due out in September 2013 and is a
fantastic shoe – more on this soon….
